FAQ

Q. Is the product suitable for liquid?
A. No, it is not. The wood fiber foam is a porous material and liquid can go through. Essentially the application is limited to internal packaging/cushioning of non-liquid products where direct contact with moisture and water is not expected.
Q. Is the product heavier than plastic?

A. No, generally it is lighter than plastic and reduces total packaging weight.

Q. Is it possible to order the product with different colors?
A. The product comes with a number of natural colors depending on the type of raw material used. Various colors on the product are possible, however, to keep the pollution-free core value, we prefer not to use chemical dyes and colors.
Q. Does the product have a higher strength than plastic?
A. The strength can be categorized into tensile strength, tearing strength and compressive strength. The wood fiber foam has lower tensile and tearing strength than plastic, however, its compressive strength is comparable to plastic and would be adjusted regarding the application. For internal packaging and cushioning applications, the compressive strength is relevant.
Q. Is the product compostable?
A. Yes, the wood fiber foam is home-compostable without any harm to the environment.
Q. Is the material “formable”? Is it possible to make customized shapes?
A. Yes, customized forms can be made. For your special needs please contact us.
